During our site visit we consider the following to arrive at the best possible plan for your site.

• Geology:  Condition of Existing Soils.
• Hydrology.  How surface water moves throughout your site
• Vegetation.  We analyze your existing plantings to see what best suits your needs
• Circulation.  How people and vehicles interact, moving through, into, and around your site
• Site Analysis.  Look for or take advantage of borrowed views, screen undesirable views or other constraints with plantings.

For many larger or more comprehensive projects, and where budget allows, we highly recommend employing the services of our associate – award-winning and certified Landscape Architect Peg Prizer (Prizer Design Group). A comprehensive landscape plan will give you a roadmap to the landscape space of your dreams and is often implemented in phases – sometimes over many years. Rather than a haphazard approach to your landscape year after year, resulting in wasted money and disappointing outcomes, we will craft a plan that you’ll be as proud to display in year 1 as in year 5 or 10. Typically only a small percentage of the overall budget, getting a landscape architect involved in your project is always a smart investment.
